We are committed to delivering a wonderful experience to all our visitors

Reflector telescopes

Reflector telescopes are the most cost-effective telescopes available, as mirrors are much easier and more inexpensive to produce. As such, large aperture reflector telescopes can be manufactured for relatively far less than a refractor telescope of equal aperture.

Refractor telescopes

The refractor telescope is likely what comes to mind when one thinks of a telescope. Just as its name suggests, a refractor telescope works by refracting, or bending, light in order to form an image

Computers

The laboratory is equipped with Internet ready computers for students and a large projector for lectures. The lab is designed to accommodate remote learning, where lecturers can teach from any location globally

Easily Accessible by Road

The lab is located within the premises of Methodist High School Ilesa. Visitors outside Ilesa travelling by road should ask for how to get to Methodist High School Ilesa. Coming from outside Nigeria, please check for the right flights to Lagos Murtala Mohammed Airport Lagos and then travel by road to Ilesa

Qualified Instructor

Our instructors are drawn from various Universities globally. USA, Canada, U.K. All are passionate about astronomy, but most importantly interested in passing on the knowledge to students in colleges.
